Get Involved

Minnesota Acupuncture Association (MAA) is only as strong as our membership. We are member-run and your involvement is key to our success. There are several ways you, as a member, can get involved. We'd love to have you join in the activities. It's a great way to get to know other acupuncturists.

1. Consider running for the board. New board members are elected each year at our annual meeting for a term of two years. This is a great opportunity to be at the core of all the decisions and direction of MAA. For more information on the work of the board, read the Board section of the website under Governing Board. 
2. Volunteer to be a committee member. We have several committees working on different functions and goals of the organization. Meeting times and roles vary by committee. Read about each committee and consider what matches your interests and skills. Each committee is an opportunity to connect with your fellow practitioners and have some fun while you work. If you spot a committee that looks interesting, send an e-mail to the committee chair, or call the main phone number. We will make sure you get connected.
3. Review short-term volunteer opportunities that will get posted on the website and will often get talked about in the Forum. 
4. Attend the annual membership meeting. It is a great opportunity to have a say in the direction of the organization. It is where the budget for the upcoming year is set and where board members are elected.
